624 acres of beautiful rolling hills, cascading streams, and diverse forests. Just 50 minutes from downtown Raleigh, it offers a unique secluded setting, providing a great "time and place-apart" for spiritual renewal, meditation, group-building, and planning.

Woodlands Center Features:
Johnson Dining Room:
A spacious banqueting hall, the Johnson Dining Room will comfortably seat
140
guests. This ample space can also be divided into two separate areas
suitable for
two groups of 80 and 60.
Castor Chapel:
The Castor Chapel serves camp as an indoor worship space as well as a
multi-purpose meeting room. With it's exposed wooden beams and stone
fireplace, this area provides seating for 140 guests in a comfy rustic atmosphere.
The chapel space is dedicated to the memory of the camp's founding director,
Pastor David L. Castor.
Parker Environmental Education Classroom:
The lower floor of the Woodlands center features a walk-out basement design
which includes an open-air classroom with seating space for 130 guests. Used
year-round as an environmental education center, this area also includes a large
bank of public bathrooms, Environmental Education staff offices, preparation
areas, and storage.
Outdoor facilities: include a spacious deck for devotional or conversation space,
a beautiful butterfly garden, a nearby campfire circle, two outdoor chapels,
volleyball and basketball courts, and nearby access to the pond and Meditation
Rock.

Rooms are equipped with pillows and a blanket for each bed. You must bring your
own linens*, pillow cases, towels, soaps, and personal effects.

Lutheran Men's Lodge:Proudly built by the men's organization of the North Carolina Synod, the Lutheran Men's Lodge is nestled into the hillside overlooking Whispering Pines Pond. This comfortable facility features two lounge areas(seating 24 each), a large meeting room (seating 42), and 20 sleeping rooms. The 20 rooms share 10 baths and each room has its own sink. The Retreat House:
A beautifully-designed facility, the Retreat House was opened in 1994. Guests are welcomed into a high ceiling, comfortably furnished building which features: a stone fireplace, comfortable lounge area, dining and meeting space, a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals (or contract with our food service), a loft meeting space with a conference table, and eight motel-style rooms. Each sleeping room features a queen-sized bed, a bunk bed, sink, private bathroom & shower, desk, closet space, and a chest of drawers. The large windows in the main room and the loft offer beautiful views of the renewing woodlands surrounding the building.
In January of 2006, the kitchen area was remodeled. In July of 2011, the loft area and the meeting space were repainted. New carpet was also laid in both of those areas. Click here to view the floor plan.

The Gerhard Cabin:
is the first of four units planned for Agapé's Cabin Village. Constructed using cutting-edge building techniques, it is an energy efficient, "Green" facility that will comfortably house 17 people. Nestled in Skyview Meadow, the Gerhard Cabin offers our guests a comfortable lounge area, two bunk rooms, four full bathrooms, and a snack prep area. Each sleeping room features four bunks, two sinks, and 2 private bathrooms & showers (one sleeping room includes an additional single bed).
Duplex Cabin Features:
Outdoor facilities include a spacious deck for devotional or conversation space, a nearby campfire circle, two outdoor chapels, volleyball and basketball courts, and nearby access to the pond and Meditation Rock.

Meals: are provided by our food service for an additional fee. All meals are served in the Johnson Dining Room.
Snack prep area: Please bring your own kitchen towels, 13-gallon trash bags, dishwasher detergent, and dish soap. Thank you. Recycling bins are provided.

Tent and Trailer AreaThe Agapé campground features 24 sites set up in four woodland villages.
Each site serves up to 4 people. Two villages (12 sites) provide electrical hook-ups
and water spigots. A modern centrally-located shower house serves all guests. An open playing field is adjacent to the camping area.
A large picnic pavilion is located in the campground.
The picnic pavilion has a small attached field kitchen, featuring a gas stove and range-top, a refrigerator, and a double sink.
This is a great gathering place in the heart of the campground.
While you stay in the campground, delight in the whispering of the wind through the trees and the song of the cicadas.
The campground is a great place for family groups, youth groups, or scout groups to have a great get-away.
