As the ministry at Camp Agapé and
Kure Beach continues to grow we boldly look
to the future and to how your outdoor ministries can continue to meet the needs of
the congregations in the NC Synod.
GO CAMP! Building What the
Church Needs! is not about buildings and sites.
It is about continuing the vision to provide the much-needed programs, people,
and tomorrow.
Agapé † Kure Beach Ministries
HAS what the church needs:
Fulfilling the Baptismal Covenant – this is why we exist!
We assist parents, congregations and their members to fulfill the
promise we made to teach about God, our Creator; Jesus Christ, our
Redeemer; and the Holy Spirit, our guide during this great adventure
we call life.
Is there anything more important?

Young people
become excited to be a part of the church through outdoor ministries.
Agapé † Kure Beach Ministries is a shining star in producing positive
influences on these youth. We offer positive role models through a
small-group relationship-based program that teaches identity as
Children of God.

Adults
yearn for experiences that bring them into relationship with God, the
environment, and each other. Some say camp is not the real world
because it is a “controlled” community. However, Camp Agapé and Kure
Beach Lutheran Center ARE
the real world, where the Gospel is shared, preached, and experienced.
Older Adults
need to feel they have a purpose in living that goes beyond job and reaches
beyond vocation. They are respected within the church; they have gifts
to share. Agapé † Kure Beach Ministries offers an arena where this
sharing takes place.
Families
seek opportunities to stop – to move out of their normal routines and
hectic lives in order to connect with one another. Families need a place
where values are modeled through basic things we do: eating a meal, singing
songs, playing, and worshiping together. This is a place where
children can see the wonderful example of their own parents being captivated by Jesus.
Our congregations
gather into Christian community at Camp Agapé and Kure Beach Lutheran Center,
seeking to build disciples for the church. Churches look to Agapé †
Kure Beach Ministries as a resource in Christian Education, Youth and
Family Ministry, Vision Setting, Evangelism, Leadership Development,
and Stewardship.
