CONGREGATION PROGRAMS: DAY CAMP, BYG, CONFIRMATION CAMP
Day Camp Bring camp to your own community!
Bring camp to your town! Day camp is a superb way to bring the talents of our wonderful staff
to your neighborhood. This is NOT like VBS; it’s something completely different. It’s summer
camp in your church! This is a five-day program for 1st-8th grades only. This year we are serving
23 churches and communities around North Carolina. Call now to find out where they’re located
and see if we’re at a community near you! Or if you’re interested in hosting your own day camp
(in 2014), then call the office and ask to speak to Lauren. Call now! |

BYG (Building Youth Groups)
Calling all youth leaders! Bring your kids in grades 3-5 for a fun week of on-site
camp and community building. Campers experience all the fun of residential camp
while getting to know their fellow youth group kids. It’s a great opportunity to build a
community at a young age and it promotes growth in your church. Not an individual program, only groups. Summer BYG is FULL! |
Confirmation Camp
This is a dynamic, experiential, way of learning catechetical material. The community
built and relationships formed are wonderful in helping the material make an impact
in the confirmand’s life. Clusters of congregations form, and class size is not an issue.
Confirmation Camp runs week #s 1, 2, 4, and 6.

CAMP FEES AND CAMPERSHIP INFORMATION
VALUE of a Christian Summer Camp experience!!
Do you want your children and grandchildren to have a strong faith and the ability to make choices in life based on a set of core
Christian Values?? Studies repeatedly have supported the fact that Christian camping and retreating experiences are some of the
most effective at keeping children faithful in the church. This is why we provide summer camp experiences. We are in the business
of helping you build faith-filled and value-centered children. So partner with us and make summer camp a priority for your children.
How much does this great experience Really Cost?
Each camp program we provide during the summer is subsidized by donations from individuals and congregations. So the fee
everyone pays for a summer camp experience is a discounted rate.
Actual cost of a week of Prime Camp = $518.00
These fees include the cost of hiring, training and paying summer staff, camper and staff insurance, food, food service permits
and training, facility maintenance, marketing, program supplies, risk management, utilities, and much more. (Specialty programs
have additional costs added to the Prime Fee. For example, Giddy Up costs us an additional $125.00 per camper to provide the
services of a professional horse stable.)
Cost we charge for a basic week of Prime Camp = $410.00
That means that each person registering for a week of camp receives a discount of $108.00 on a week of camp. That discount is
funded by individual and congregation gifts given to Agapé V Kure Beach Ministries.
Again this year we are posting the actual cost. For those who can pay the full cost of a quality Christian Camp experience we have
provided that opportunity.
We continue to offer the subsidized fee for a majority of our families.

Campership Assistance is available
to anyone in need:
Finally, we would like to stress the fact that the David L. Castor
Campership Fund exists to help make camp affordable. Simply
request campership assistance and we will do what we can to
make sure everyone can attend a week of camp. Financial
concerns are never a good reason for denying a child the
opportunity to experience the Spirit of God in a unique place
apart under the careful supervision of a committed Christian
young adult (counselor).
This all means you have three options when paying for your
week of camp:
1. Pay the full cost of a week at camp
2. Pay the set fee (subsidized)
3. Pay what you can and ask for
Campership assistance.
It is our policy – “That no camper be
turned away from a camp experience
due to the lack of financial means.” |
Camp Agapé does not discriminate on the basis of race,
national origin, handicap, creed, sex, age or income level.
